Server Spaces
As an architecture student you have access to a number of server spaces for files. Below is a summary of you you have access to.
Box @ Yale - Personal Cloud Based Storage:
Box at Yale is a personal file storage workspace which enables you to store, sync and share information. Box.com is a cloud-based file sharing and storage service and can be accessed through any device: desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.

Box @ Yale Web Access: (Located on the workstation desktop) Used to create folders, download and upload files, set folder permissions, share files, see how much space you are using, and change account settings. |

Box Sync: (Located on the workstation desktop) Used to setup automatic syncing of a folder located on your workstation (Preferably in your Scratch Drive) and/or your home computer. Files saved to this folder will automatically be synced to your Box space. |
Box at Yale makes it easy to upload content, organize files, share links to files and manage file and folder permissions. With Box you can collaborate with colleagues both inside and outside the University anytime, anywhere, from any device. In addition, accounts offer an ample 50 GB of document storage space.
If you need more space, contact Central ITS helpdesk at 203 432-9000 to have it increased.
Server Shares:
Required Courses-This space has all the required courses at the architecture school. You will only see the required courses that you have access to. Space is unlimited.
Elective Courses-This space has all of the elective courses at the architecture school. At the beginning of the semester you will see all the elective course offerings. Once course registration ends, you will only see the elective courses you have access to. Space is unlimited. Note: a course can be required for some and an elective for others. If a course is a required course for some then it will be located in the Required Course Share.
Advanced Studios Share- This is for the advanced Studios. You will only see the advanced studio that you have access to once the advanced studio lottery is completed. Space is unlimited
First Year Studio Share/Second Year Studio Share/Undergraduate Share-These shares will be available if you are in one of these studios. There will be a Fall Semester or a Spring Semester folder. Space is limited to 1 tera byte (1000GB) each.
Resources and Special Projects Share-This share contains resources for students such as 3D models, texture maps, etc. It also has the “Self Help” folder. This share also houses any school sanctioned projects. Space is unlimited.

Scan Dropbox Share-This share receives scans from the wide format scanner. Files are automatically deleted after 7 days.
Temporary Space Share-This is for the short term transfer of files. Files are deleted at the end of each semester. Space is limited to 120GB
